2019-10: Want to be involved in the scoping process?

We are now well through planning for Tranche 2. The aim of the scoping and design process is to map the landscape of current research activities (and knowledge) across seven Strategic Outcome areas in the Challenge Strategy (as well as for Ngā Rākau Taketake, the surge investment for kauri dieback and myrtle rust) to help target Challenge investment.

Scoping groups are made up of about 10 people, and their main deliverable will be an Investment Prospectus that identifies critical gaps and research needs that the Challenge should invest in, as well as inviting others to co-invest via contestable funding, private sector investment, and so on.

Because the groups are relatively small, they are expected to actively reach out to others involved in their scoping area. However, they might not reach everyone!

If you feel like you have relevant experience or knowledge of any of our scoping areas and have not yet been contacted, please get in touch. Everyone involved in this process is working on behalf of Aotearoa to create impact, and we want to hear from you.

Email support@biologicalheritage.nz with ‘Scoping Group Contact’ as the subject line, and details about your relevant expertise in the body of the email.
