This study is one of three exemplar studies of restoration collectives within BioHeritage Strategic Outcome 6 ‘Pathways to Ecosystem Regeneration’. This strategic outcome focuses on supporting co-development of restoration projects that showcase successful ecosystem regeneration. As collectives emerge across the country, there is significant interest in understanding their potential to connect and amplify community environmental action, and in identifying how to set collectives up for success and what this means for agencies and funders seeking to support community action.
We have written this report primarily for community leaders and entities, iwi/hapū, agencies, funders and other organisations involved in collective ecosystem regeneration. We hope the ŌHRN will itself find the report useful to further its practical, advocacy and strategic work.
