Te maunga e tautari mai naa – a book about the kiwi conservation efforts by Maia Hauata (Ngāti Apakura, Waikato-Maniapoto, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Whakaue). The story in this book uses the mita (pronunciation/dialect) of Tainui, reflecting Maia’s genealogical connections with the tribes descended from the canoe of Tainui.
This is one of six books, written in te reo Māori, in a series about nature and conservation efforts around New Zealand produced through the NZ Biological Heritage National Science Challenge.
